Meet the STARTUP WORLD Award winners 2016


The STARTUP WORLD Award seeks to aid startups in bringing groundbreaking service robotics and automation applications to market. The competition invited startups in the global technology community that are no more than five years old and have at least an available prototype ready to submit their solution between March and May 2016.

All submissions were carefully evaluated by a renowned expert jury, who decided on the total Top 20, as well as on the Top 3 finalists for each category. The winners have been announced on 22 June 2016 in the AUTOMATICA FORUM, hall A5.

The Service Robotics category was open to startups that are developing innovative service robotics products for any relevant market segment.
Entrants are particularly encouraged to follow technology trends like connected robots and robotics in the cloud, augmented reality robotics, micro- and nanorobots, wearable robotics, flying robots, and swarm robotics.


The Automation category was open to startups that are developing innovative robotics products in any relevant market segment (except for service robotics).
Applications might include integrated assembly solutions, industrial robotics, machine vision, positioning systems, software, services, and technologies involving drive systems, sensors, control systems, safety, or supply logistics.
